Ben Amies-Cull
Ben is a GP and also a Clinical Researcher at Oxford University, where he is leading an evaluation of the long term-health benefits of the Child Obesity Prevention Initiative. This builds on previous research he has undertaken into a range of factors influencing childhood obesity. He is drawing on this wide range of experience to act as our Obesity Adviser.
Michael Baber
Michael is a former College Principal and charity CEO. A Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health he has led research projects to identify how to reduce childhood obesity; encourage healh behaviour change; improve health at work; and reduce the risk of mental ill health.
Barbara Baker
Barbara is a former University Lecturer, Senior Research Fellow for a cancer charity, and author, She has undertaken a range of ageing-related research for us, and is our Healthy Ageing Research Lead. Barbara is also co-author of 'AI-based treatment of psychological conditions: the potential use, benefits and drawbacks', published in Exploration in Digital Health Technologies in April 2025.
Cordelia Hagan
Cordelia is a Trustee and also our Company Secretary. She is an Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute with several years’ experience in corporate governance. Currently serving as a Senior Company Secretarial Assistant at a multinational insurance company, Cordelia provides company secretarial services to a portfolio of subsidiary companies mainly in the UK. She previously worked as an Assistant Company Secretary at Post Office Ltd.
Rachel Harris
Rachel brings valuable experience of working with UK Research & Innovation (UKRI). After a PhD in Neuroscience she went on to work for the Medical Research Council, UKRI International and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council. Rachel is currently Cross Council Innovation and Partnerships Manager at Innovate UK.
Sarah Jones
Sarah has 18 years’ experience as a healthcare policy and government affairs specialist. During this time, she has provided strategic counsel to global pharmaceutical/med tech companies, a range of healthcare charities and social enterprises. She has also worked for the world's largest union and professional body for nursing.
Jennie Leggat
Jennie works on policy at the Health Foundation, having previously been a Public Health Policy Fellow at Cambridge Judge Business School. She is also a Researcher for the Health Equity Network at Cambridge Public Health and a Member of the Environmental Health Integration Team at Bristol Health Partners. Her previous experience includes working as a Clinical Scientist in the NHS and volunteering with a number of health charities.
Ali Mahta
Ali is a Neurologist, specialising in intensive care for patients with acute brain injuries. He is program director for neurocritical care fellowship at University of California San Diego (UCSD). Prior to this he combined working as a neurologist at Rhode Island Hospital with work as Associate Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at Brown University. His previous experience includes a Research Fellowship at Harvard, a residency in Neurology at Temple University School of Medicine and a Fellowship in neurocritical care at Columbia University Medical Centre.
